RunicLib
by Yirmiri
Developers building on several loaders can use RunicLib, a library of MultiLoader utilities, premade effects and a shared registry method.
What it does
The library provides helper code that a project can call without writing it again for each loader. It includes a common registry method for MultiLoader projects, utilities such as a shared flammability method and conditional recipes, and public common classes that other MultiLoader projects can build on. Azurune projects use it heavily, and the author states it is open to other developers.
Beyond developer utilities, RunicLib adds premade effects and effect classes, along with new attributes. Installation is needed on the client and on the server, so both sides must run it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest builds covering 1.20 – 1.21.1 and the license is custom, so the code is not open source.
Key features
Common registry method
A shared method registers content across loaders, so one code path can serve every MultiLoader build.
Shared utilities
Helpers such as a common flammability method and conditional recipes are available to any project that depends on the library.
Premade effects
Ready-made status effects and effect classes can be reused instead of coding each effect from scratch.
Public common classes
Classes shared across MultiLoader projects are exposed for other developers to call directly.
Effect icon artwork
The artist behind several of the included effect icons is credited by the author.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Multi-loader mod development
A developer targeting Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt at once can reuse the shared registry method and helpers in each build.
Reusing premade effects
A mod that needs common status effects can pull in the premade effect classes rather than writing new ones.
Who it’s for: RunicLib suits mod developers who maintain projects across several loaders and want shared utilities, and mod authors who depend on it, such as the Urban Decor and Delicate Dyes projects that require it.
How it compares
Nemo's Tags is a server-side only library released under the MIT License, with files for 1.21.5 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, so players need nothing installed. JinxedLib uses a custom license like RunicLib, with files for 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and it runs on client and server.
