Relic Artifacts

by Giper

Relic Artifacts is a NeoForge RPG layer for Minecraft 1.21.1 where players gather, improve and merge artifacts that grant abilities and combo bonuses.

What it does

Artifacts occupy dedicated ring, amulet and belt slots provided through the Curios API, which is required and must be installed beside the mod. Each piece belongs to one of 27 items across three classes. Players can wear two or three items from the same class to stack bonuses, and a Legendary item carries a second ability that opens at level 20.

Artifacts gain experience from mob kills, and a level requires 5 more XP than the one before. Common and Epic artifacts reach level 10, while Legendary artifacts reach level 20. Each artifact rolls a random ability, and the mod lists 27 abilities in total. Cursed artifacts come with debuffs that cannot be unequipped, with a 1.5x buff against a 2x debuff on the cursed side. A guide book is granted on first join and holds full descriptions, and the relic give command spawns an artifact with chosen parameters.

Relic Artifacts is published for NeoForge only, with 1.0.5-beta as the latest file for 1.21.1, released on 2026-08-08 on the beta channel. The server and every player need the mod installed. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Two playstyle classes

The Berserk class trades defense for high damage in an aggressive style, while the Assassin class relies on speed, dodging and hit-and-run tactics.

  2. Archer ranged path

The Archer class raises bow damage and arrow speed for players who fight at range.

  3. Three rarities with crafting

Common and Epic artifacts can be crafted, with a 20% chance attached to some crafts, and Legendary artifacts drop from bosses.

  4. Artifact progression

Artifacts gain XP from mob kills and can be upgraded and combined into abilities and combo bonuses.

Legendary Relics is not open source and runs on client and server for NeoForge 1.21.1, so its licensing and version scope match Relic Artifacts closely.
