Reimagined Enchanting

by An_Avarage_Devil

Reimagined Enchanting adds a set of new enchantments for swords, bows, armor and tools, each with its own combat effect such as life steal, poison, lightning strikes or dashes.

ForgeNeoForgeMIT License1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

The enchantments cover melee, ranged and defensive play. Some steal health from an enemy on hit or inflict poison and slowness, while others call lightning down on a target or give bonus effects during a storm. Arrows can explode on impact or teleport the shooter to the struck target, and a fishing spear can catch fish when it is used near water. Several effects trigger from movement, such as slow falling while running or a rocket launch from the air.

The mod is for players who want more variety in enchanting without changing the base game. Server owners and single-player players can both use the enchantments, since the mod runs on Forge and NeoForge and is released under the MIT License. It is not open source. Files exist for 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 1.21.4, with the latest Forge and NeoForge builds both at 1.0.2 and dated 2026-04-18.

Key features

  1. Life steal and poison

Swords and similar weapons can steal health from an enemy, or apply poison and slowness to slow down an opponent.

  2. Lightning and storm effects

Lightning Struck calls a bolt down onto enemies, and Storm Guard grants bonus effects while a storm is active.

  3. Explosive and teleporting arrows

Explosive Arrows have a chance to explode on impact, and a related enchantment teleports the shooter to the hit target.

  4. Mobility enchantments

Self Rocket launches the wearer into the air when shooting, and a dash is bound to right-click for quick movement.
