Random Attributes

by Ocle_42

When a crafting recipe produces a weapon, armor piece or tool, Random Attributes may attach random vanilla attribute modifiers to the result.

ForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Random Attributes applies random vanilla attribute modifiers to armor, weapons and tools at the moment they are crafted, so the result carries bonuses or penalties fixed into the item. The modifiers are permanent once applied. The author notes that a newly crafted tool can sometimes receive a negative attribute and become weaker than its base version.

The mod runs on the server only, so players join without installing it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Random modifiers on crafting

Crafted armor, weapons and tools receive random vanilla attribute modifiers as the item is created.

  2. Permanent item changes

The attached modifiers stay on the item after crafting, so the enhancement is not temporary.

  3. Positive and negative results

Some rolls add a bonus while others impose a negative attribute, so a crafted item can end up weaker.

What the author says

Random Attributes - Mod that expands the use and application of all weapons, armor, and tools. Adding random attributes to them when crafting them! Be careful, sometimes creating a new tool can only worsen it, imposing a negative attribute
