Qa Enchants

by LitQA

Qa Enchants adds a set of new enchantments to armor, boots, helmets and weapons, including several cursed enchantments that carry drawbacks.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1 – 1.21.10

What it does

The mod adds a series of enchantments to Minecraft, some of them cursed. Each enchantment has a maximum level and works on one item type: armor, boots, helmets or weapons. The cursed enchantments add penalties alongside their effects, such as Anvil Falling, which increases fall damage in proportion to the enchantment level, and Aqua Antipathy, which sharply slows mining underwater when worn on a helmet.

Qa Enchants runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 10 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.10, under the MIT License. The mod is not open source. The latest Forge file is 1.1.2 for 1.20.1, and the latest NeoForge file is 1.1.2 for 1.21.10, both marked as beta.

Key features

  1. Armor health enchantment

Armor pieces with this enchantment restore health when the wearer drops below 35 percent of maximum health, scaling with the number of enchanted pieces.

  2. Boots with safe fall height

Enchanted boots reduce fall damage and raise the safe fall height, while a higher level lowers the safe height and raises the damage multiplier.

  3. Cursed underwater effects

Helmet and boot enchantments change underwater play, slowing mining speed and movement and speeding up oxygen loss.

  4. Absolute Failure effects

When armor with this curse takes damage, it may trigger hunger effects, and wearing several pieces raises how often the effects stack.

  5. Weapon toughness reduction

Each hit from a weapon carrying this enchantment, held in the main hand, applies a toughness reduction effect to the struck entity.

What the author says

When an entity wears armor with this enchantment, takes damage, and its health drops below 35% of its maximum health, it will restore (8 + Number of Armor Pieces with this Enchantment × 1.5)% of its maximum health. When an entity wears boots with this enchantment, its safe fall height is significantly reduced, and…
