Proximity Crafting
by Maeiro
Proximity Crafting lets a crafting table use items stored in nearby containers, including modded storage blocks and compatible backpacks, without moving items between inventories first.
What it does
A Proximity Crafting Table looks through containers close to it and combines what they hold into a single set of ingredients to draw from. Recipes then pull items directly from chests and other storage systems, so a player can craft from materials spread across several containers without running between them. The table also works with the Minecraft Recipe Book, and the configurable player inventory can serve as a source too.
The mod shows which recipes can be crafted from nearby resources, and a dedicated panel for the selected recipe lists the remaining ingredients and how many times it can still be crafted. Crafting fills recipe slots automatically. Special machine blocks are kept from interfering with crafting. Server owners control the settings through the server configuration.
Proximity Crafting requires Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 and is distributed as a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Optional integration exists with EMI, Just Enough Items (JEI) and Sophisticated Backpacks.
