Potion Bar
by Hainer
With Potion Bar installed, each active potion effect on screen gets a progress bar that shows how much time is left.
What it does
The mod adds progress bars for active potion effects. Each bar shows the remaining duration of an effect next to its icon, so a player can see exactly how much time is left instead of estimating from the number on the effect list. Bars are colored by potion type, which makes it easier to tell effects apart at a glance.
Potion Bar needs Fabric API and is published for Fabric and NeoForge. Files cover 1.20.1 – 26.3 across 20 release versions, and the latest Fabric file targets 26.3. It runs on the client alone, so servers do not need to install it, and it is released under the MIT License as open source code.
Key features
Duration progress bars
Each active potion effect is paired with a bar that empties as the effect runs out.
Remaining time next to the icon
The bar sits beside the effect icon, so the exact time left is visible without opening another screen.
Colored by potion type
Bars take a color from the potion type, so beneficial and harmful effects can be told apart.
Client-only install
Only the player's client needs the mod, so it can be added to a server without changes on that side.

Use cases
Timing fights
A player who drinks a strength or speed potion before a raid can watch the bar and time the next potion without guessing.
Managing several effects
When many effects overlap, each one keeps its own bar, which helps a player decide which potion to refresh first.
Who it’s for: Players who want to track potion durations during single-player or multiplayer sessions, without changing how potions work.
How it compares
Stackable Potions is open source under the MIT License, supports Fabric and NeoForge, and covers 1.21 – 26.1 with a client and server environment. Potion Time Stacker is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers 1.21.10 – 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge. Potion Bar is client-side only and changes only the display of effects, so it does not need a matching install on the server.
