Umbrellas adds umbrella items that shield a player from sky and rain effects, with looms for decoration and two mobility enchantments.
What it does
An umbrella held by a player blocks sky and rain checks from any mod, so effects such as zombies burning in daylight or the Enderian form from the Origins mod no longer apply while it is open. Each umbrella loses durability while it shields, and the config can switch that wear off. The mod was written to block these checks from any source, which keeps it compatible with other mods rather than tied to Origins.
Looms can decorate umbrellas in the same way as banners, and a set of special umbrellas includes a flowering azalea and a giant jellyfish. Umbrellas placed in umbrella stands protect against rain without losing durability, so builds stay safe in wet weather. Two enchantments allow gliding down from high places or boosting upward in campfire smoke. An optional config applies the campfire boost to Elytra, and another turns off rockets for players who want Elytra balanced that way. Umbrellas requires Fabric API and PneumonoCore. The mod is client and server, open source under the MIT License, and published for Fabric and Quilt across 15 release versions, 1.20 – 26.2.
