Riptide Shield Fix stops equipped shields from covering most of the screen while a player uses a Riptide Trident.

What it does

The mod corrects how held items are drawn when a player throws a Riptide Trident. Without it, the equipped shield in the offhand can fill about two thirds of the view during the throw, and the held item is shown in a first-person pose that looks wrong. The fix changes only the rendering, so the trident still behaves as it does in vanilla. It is built to work with modded trident variants as well. The mod runs on the client alone, and only the player's game needs it. It targets Fabric and Quilt, and Fabric API is required. Files are available for 23 game versions, 1.20 – 26.2, and the latest file for both loaders is 1.1.0+26.2+A for 26.2.

Fixes equipped shields covering up two thirds of your screen whenever you use a riptide trident (MC-127970). This works for all items, not just shields, but shields are the most common thing to keep in your offhand, and are the most egregious example of the bug.
