Party Creepers
by Fuzs
Party Creepers changes how Creeper explosions behave, replacing block damage with colorful confetti and fireworks while still hurting players and mobs.
What it does
Creepers that Party Creepers affects go off with confetti-like fireworks instead of breaking blocks. The explosion is still able to deal damage to players and mobs, so the encounter keeps its threat without the wreckage to builds. Settings control whether explosions stay harmless to terrain, whether they still hurt, how the particles look and how often confetti appears.
Party Creepers is a server-side only mod, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 14 release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.3, and is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The source code and issue tracker are public. Fabric API, Forge Config API Port and Puzzles Lib are required, and Forge Config Screens is optional. On Fabric, Mod Menu lets players adjust settings in game, and Prospector is listed as an extra option.
Key features
Confetti explosions
Creepers burst into colorful confetti and fireworks in place of the usual block-breaking blast.
Adjustable damage
Explosions can be made harmless to blocks while still dealing damage to players and mobs, or left fully intact.
Mixed explosions
Fireworks can be combined with normal explosions, so a single Creeper can produce both effects at once.
Editable config files
Settings are stored in client, common and server TOML files under the config folder, and can also be changed in game through the mod menu.
