Pakko
by moechakucha
Pakko lets players host a resource pack for a LAN world, publishing it with one click from the vanilla-style pack selection screen.
What it does
When a player opens a world to LAN, Pakko offers a resource pack hosting step built into the vanilla-style pack selection screen. The chosen packs are uploaded through one of the supported hosting services, so other players who join the LAN world can fetch the pack without the host running a server. Litterbox is the primary service and has built-in support, and the mod's public-facing API is free and lightweight. The mod works with integrated servers because Minecraft itself supports server-managed resource packs.
Pakko is client-side only, so players install it alone and the server side needs nothing. Each world keeps its own configuration. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt across 17 release versions, 1.21 – 26.3, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. Neo Forge is not supported, since the mod targets vanilla scenarios.
Key features
One-click pack publishing
Selected resource packs can be published for a LAN world from the pack selection screen in a single click.
Litterbox hosting
Litterbox is the initial hosting service, with built-in support, and further services are offered as options.
Per-world configuration
Settings are stored separately for each world, so one LAN world does not change another.
Advanced settings file
A pakko.json file lets players add extra resource pack directories and adjust fields that the in-game screen does not show.

Use cases
Sharing a pack with LAN friends
A host who plays a modified world can publish the pack when opening to LAN, so friends receive it on joining.
Who it’s for: Players who open their singleplayer worlds to LAN and want friends to get the same resource pack without manual steps.
How it compares
Simple Resource Loader is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, for Fabric and Quilt across 1.21 – 26.3, and works on either side, and neither needs it. Auto LAN is open source under the MIT License for Fabric and Quilt across 1.21.10 – 26.3, and it has to be on both the server and every player. Open to LAN Fix is a Fabric-only client mod for 26.2 with All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
