Overlord
With Overlord, players raise an army of skeletons that fight beside them, follow orders and can be grouped into squads.
What it does
Summoned skeletons join in fights against enemies and can be told to stay behind, defend a base or attack what the player points at. Orders are issued to nearby skeletons once with the Orders Wand, and skeletons can be grouped into squads so that a large force receives instructions in one step. Upgrades add decorative and combat changes to the skeletons.
Skeleton creation recipes, their health and other properties can be customized with data packs, so a server or modpack can change how the army is made. When the optional Roughly Enough Items mod is present, it can show each skeleton recipe, and the built-in guide walks a player through the first steps and how skeletons get upgraded. The author notes that Overlord 2 is still planned and a third version is intended.
Overlord requires Annotated DI, Fabric API and Fireplace Lib on Fabric, with Cloth Config also needed as a dependency of Fireplace Lib. Mod Menu and Roughly Enough Items are optional. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt, with files for 1.15.2 – 1.19.2 and the latest build dated 2022-11-29.
