Old Legends

Old Legends adds three unique weapons and tools, a Reliquary storage block and a set of structures and mechanics tied to forgotten history, for Fabric.
What it does
The mod adds three new unique items: Emerald Mourning, a sword infused with death's power that has two passive abilities and one active ability; Swallows Storm, a shield that absorbs lightning, with three passive abilities and one active ability; and Flutter Echo, a pickaxe that bends the flow of time around its threads. Three new mechanics come with them, including a Reliquary container that accepts only sparkly items and locks at 00:00, when Grinning Hoarders take their recompense from it.
Players craft the Reliquary with a Reliquary Blueprint, found through vanilla archaeology at Ancient sites, and upgrade Old Legend items with an Awakening Upgrade made from one Pale Gem and four Netherite Ingots at a Smithing Table. The mod also adds new structures, loot and advancements, and it requires City Strongholds. Old Legends needs Cloth Config API and Fabric API, and Mod Menu is optional. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for 1.20.4 and 1.21.1 under the MIT License, which is open source.

Ancient sites and new structures offer loot and advancements for players who search for buried secrets.
Who it’s for: Players who want new equipment and story-driven exploration in a Fabric survival world. Server owners can add it to a modpack, since both sides run it.
How it compares
The Legend of Steve adds its own content for Fabric on 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, but it uses a custom license and is not open source. Elementary Equipment is open source under the MIT License like Old Legends, but its files cover only 1.20.1 – 1.20.5 and it does not reach 1.21.1.
