No More Drop
by mochensky
In No More Drop, a block that is broken leaves nothing behind, so stone, dirt and ore give no items when mined.
What it does
Breaking a block with this mod removes it without dropping any item. Stone, dirt, ore and other blocks return nothing, which removes the usual supply of resources from mining and forces players to find materials another way, such as creative mode or a survival strategy built around other sources.
The mod is server-side only: just the server hosting the world needs it installed, and players join without installing anything. It requires Fabric API, and it is published for Fabric only, across 28 release versions 1.17 – 1.21.10, under a Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license. It is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.
The author describes it as suited to multiplayer survival with a twist, and as a way to beat the game with only the resources a player can gather by other means. It is built to work with vanilla Minecraft and most other mods, and it has been on Modrinth since 2025-06-23, with the latest Fabric file, 1.1.1 for 1.21.10, dated 2025-12-06.
Key features
No block drops
Every broken block gives no item, so mining is not a source of materials.
Drops problem
Resources have to come from outside normal block breaking, which changes how a survival world is played.
Server-side install
Only the server needs the mod, so players can join without installing it.

Use cases
Survival challenge
Players who want a harder survival run can remove mining as a resource source and rely on other methods.
Multiplayer server
Server owners can run a world where the twist applies to every player, since only the server installs the mod.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners looking for a survival challenge in which breaking blocks gives nothing, with a single server-side install.
How it compares
Random Drops Mod is the closest alternative. It is available on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.4 – 26.1.2, and it is built to run on both the client and the server, under All rights reserved, so players need it too. Breaking is Bad is a Fabric mod under the MIT License that is server-side only, but it targets 1.21.11 only. Random Drops From Blocks (RDFB) is also server-side only, under the MIT License, and covers 1.21 – 1.21.11.
