No Hotbar Looping
by Erb3
With No Hotbar Looping installed, the hotbar stops wrapping around when the player scrolls past its first or last slot.
What it does
The mod adds a toggle that decides whether scrolling through the hotbar wraps from the last slot back to the first. Once the mod is present, the player can keep the hotbar from looping, so scrolling stops at the end of the row. The change applies to the hotbar only and leaves the rest of the game untouched.
The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. It requires Fabric API and works with Cloth Config API and Mod Menu when those are installed. Builds exist for 1.19.4 – 1.21.4 on Fabric, with 1.1.1 for 1.21.4 as the latest file, and the code is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, so it is open source.
Snapshot builds are not part of the published range. Source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked from the project page, and the author states that the mod will not be ported to Forge and that users report it works with Sinytra Connector.
Key features
Toggle hotbar looping
Scrolling past the end of the hotbar stops at the last slot instead of jumping back to the first.
Hotbar-only change
The behavior is limited to the hotbar, so inventory and other scrolling inputs keep their default handling.
Mod Menu settings
When Mod Menu is installed, the looping option can be changed from its configuration screen.
Optional config library
Cloth Config API adds a more detailed options screen for the mod's settings when it is installed.

Use cases
Long hotbar sessions
Players who rely on the slot order of the hotbar and find wrapping disorienting can keep scrolling stopped at the edges.
Who it’s for: Players who want predictable hotbar scrolling in a single-player world or on a client that joins servers, since the mod runs without any server-side install.

Hotbar Scroll Keys is a client-side only Fabric mod under the Apache License 2.0 for 1.20.4 – 1.21.11 and is also open source.
