Hotbar Scroll Keys adds keybinds that move the selected hotbar slot left or right, for players who find the scroll wheel fiddly or hard to reach.

What it does

Two configurable keys step through the hotbar one slot at a time, so the selection can change without turning the scroll wheel. Players can bind the keys in the controls menu to whatever suits their setup. The mod runs on the client alone, so a server does not need it and players join a server without installing anything extra. Builds cover 1.20.4 – 1.21.11, and the code is released under the Apache License 2.0 as open source.

Key features

  1. Left and right hotbar keys

    Dedicated keys select the previous or next hotbar slot, one press per step.

  2. Controls menu bindings

    Both keys are listed in the controls menu, where they can be changed to any free key.

  3. Alternative to the scroll wheel

    Slot selection stays available for players whose scroll wheel is unreliable or hard to reach.
