Night Vision Spyglass lets a spyglass show a night vision effect while the player looks through it, with an enchantment that can be turned off in the settings.

What it does

Looking through a spyglass with this mod applied gives the player night vision for as long as the spyglass is in use. The enchantment that grants the effect can be disabled from the settings, and its spawning in ancient city loot can be toggled as well. A separate radar item is added to the crafting options.

The mod is required on the server, and clients may install it too. Servers run it on their own, and players who join without the mod still see the server's world. Night Vision Spyglass is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and also as a data pack, across 16 release versions, 1.21 – 26.2, under a custom license that is not open source.

Vision Enchantment is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later for 1.21 – 26.3, and a server-side install is enough for it to work. Cheaper Spyglasses is under the MIT License and covers only 1.21.11 – 26.2, where the server needs it and players may leave it out.
