Magic Mirrors Plus - Teleporting Mirrors
by Phyton
Magic Mirrors Plus adds nine types of teleporting mirrors inspired by the Magic Mirror item in Terraria, each usable for travel after a charge-up.
What it does
Players right-click a mirror to begin charging it, and the teleport completes when the charge-up finishes. Taking damage during charge-up cancels the teleport. After a successful use the player receives Teleportation Sickness, which blocks further mirror use during the cooldown. Mirrors come in three rarities, and rarity sets the charge-up time, the cooldown and the chance of enchantments being applied. Enchantments are applied at random and cannot be removed or added by hand, and a mirror can carry multiple enchantments at once.
Sneaking binds a mirror to the current location or to the player's spawn, and other sneak and look actions switch slots and reach the world spawn. Structures such as End Cities and Ancient Cities hold mirrors as loot, and mirrors can also be combined from shards: five silver, four gold and two crystal shards yield one, and a mirror with the return enchantment is available as well. Holding a mirror and running a command shows its features and enchantments, and admins can change cooldown values with commands and list the values for each type.
The mod needs to be installed on the server, and players may add it for the full set of controls. Magic Mirrors Plus is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 16 release versions, and the files are under a custom license, so the code is not open source. A data pack version is also available for servers.
