Health Bars
by Fuzs
Health Bars shows each mob's health, armor and damage on the HUD and above entities in the world, and runs only on the client.
What it does
Players who track the condition of nearby mobs can read a compact, animated on-screen display showing the mob name, health, armor and damage taken. Damage and healing values appear as they happen, and in-world bars can sit directly above entities during exploration and fights.
Entity selection is set per mob, so specific monsters, animals, bosses or aquatic creatures can get their own colors and bar behavior. Bars can scale by distance or by remaining health, and appearance, position and behavior are configurable. The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge across 12 release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.3, and is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, so it is open source. Required dependencies are Fabric API, Forge Config API Port and Puzzles Lib.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want a clearer view of mob status in combat and while exploring, and players who want to shape the look of their HUD. Only the client needs the mod, so it can be added to a multiplayer server without the server installing it.
How it compares
Mob Health Display is Fabric-only, built for 26.1.2, and all rights reserved, so its source is not open. ZEN's Better Health Bar runs on NeoForge only, for 1.21.1 – 26.2, and is released under the MIT License. easyentityinfo is open source under the MIT License and covers 1.21 – 1.21.11 on Fabric. Health Bars differs by supporting both Fabric and NeoForge with the same 1.21.1 – 26.3 range.
