Nether Brick 2x2 craft lets players turn four Netherrack into one Nether brick on a 2x2 crafting grid, skipping the trip to a Fortress.

What it does

Nether bricks normally come from Fortresses, a long trip for many players. This mod adds a 2x2 recipe that smashes four Netherrack into a single brick, so the material can be made from the common block instead. The yield is much lower per Netherrack than smelting, which is the trade-off the author points out, and the recipe reflects that choice. The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out. It is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is not open source.
