Void Metal adds an endgame material tier for NeoForge 1.21.1, found in End City chests, End dimension ore and as a Smithing Template upgrade.
What it does
Void Metal is a material tier placed just above Netherite in strength, while its enchantability matches gold. Its ingots are made from Void Metal Nuggets that drop from Void Metal Ore, which spawns in a narrow strip of the End dimension running from Y -16 up to Y 24, directly beneath the End Islands and the main island. Items made from it are unbreakable and carry warping effects, and the author states the design draws on the Voidmetal material from Thaumcraft 4.
The mod also provides a Voidmetal Upgrade Smithing Template. End City chests hold the required Smithing Template, though only rarely, and copies of it can be made in the same manner as the vanilla Smithing Templates. Placed in a Smithing Table with a Netherite item and a Void Metal Ingot, it produces a stronger variant. Because Void Metal items are unbreakable, Mending and Unbreaking enchantments can be obtained from them by stripping the item back through an Enchanted Book craft. The mod is client and server, so both the server and every player need it.
