Nemo's Upgrade Templates lets players upgrade almost any tool, weapon or armor piece using upgrade templates, a Fabric addition that requires Fabric API.

What it does

Upgrade templates can be applied to nearly every tool, weapon and armor item, so gear can be improved through crafting-style steps rather than only through new items. Players work with these templates in their normal progression.

Only the client and the server need the mod, and the server must run it for the upgrades to take effect in multiplayer. Fabric API is required. The files target game versions 1.21.11 – 26.3 on Fabric alone, and the code is under All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
