Navigation Compasses

Compasses in the mod locate points of interest such as structures and biomes. Locator features show a bar along the screen, a waypoint marker and a short action bar message that guide the player toward the target. Some elements are faked through packet handling and are visible only to the player doing the locating. Biome Locator opens a menu of biomes from which one can be selected, and saplings, dirt-like blocks and flowers are among the supported targets.

The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. It requires Fabric API on Fabric and bundles Polymer, which sends the custom item textures to clients. Polymer's resource pack hosting is recommended for a smoother setup. Floodgate Bedrock players receive special GUI handling, and Bedframe adds Polymer textures through Geyser. Other structure and biome mods can be used alongside it, though some cause lag when locating depending on how rare their targets are. The mod is published for Fabric across 9 release versions, 1.21.6 – 26.1.2, and the code is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license.
