MoveHelper
by bezd2rr
MoveHelper removes the sprint-key hold, the jump cooldown and the wait after landing, so movement keeps going with fewer inputs.
What it does
Players who run across open terrain can let MoveHelper sprint forward automatically, so the sprint key no longer has to stay held down. The sprint starts without extra input and continues while the player moves ahead.
Jumping gets two changes. The cooldown between consecutive jumps is removed, and a jump can begin the moment the character touches the ground instead of after a short wait. Walking up a full block also happens without pressing jump. The mod is aimed at singleplayer play, where these changes affect only the local player's movement. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, covering 11 release versions 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 under the MIT License, and the code is not open source.
The 1.2 builds on Fabric and Forge were released on 2026-01-18 and 2026-01-17, both on the beta channel. The mod's first version was published on 2026-01-01.
Key features
Automatic forward sprint
The character sprints forward on its own, so holding the sprint key is no longer needed while moving ahead.
No jump cooldown
The default delay between one jump and the next is removed, so repeated jumps follow each other directly.
Jump on landing
A new jump can start immediately after the character lands, without the usual pause.
Instant step-up
The character walks up a full block at once, without pressing jump.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.

Use cases
Singleplayer traversal
Players exploring a singleplayer world who cross wide areas, climb terrain or chain jumps can keep moving with fewer key presses.
Who it’s for: Players who want less manual input for running and jumping in singleplayer worlds, and who are willing to add a mod to both the client and the server.
How it compares
Hold To Walk is a client-side only Fabric mod for 1.21.11, released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and open source, so it changes nothing on the server side. AutoSprint is also a client and server mod under the MIT License, open source, with Fabric builds for the same run of versions. Open Gui Movement is client-side only, uses the MIT License, is not open source, and runs on both Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21 – 1.21.11.
