Moonlight Lib supplies dynamic registration, resource pack utilities, map markers and villager AI tools to mods such as Supplementaries.

What it does

One of its main tools is dynamic block set registration: mods can register blocks for every wood type, including modded ones, at the specific moment registration has to happen. Other utilities cover dynamic resource pack generation, dispenser behaviors that do not override existing ones, map markers, villager AI changes at runtime, first and third person animation hooks, grindstone achievement triggers and a soft fluid system.

58 catalog mods require it, among them Supplementaries, Amendments, MmmMmmMmmMmm and Fast Paintings. Moonlight Lib runs on client and server and needs Fabric API on Fabric. Its license is a custom license with public source. The newest files listed target 1.20.1 on all three loaders.

This can't be easily done using traditional methods since the wood set itself depends on the registered blocks so registration must happen at a very specific time. This utility makes that task possible and easy to do. Note that it is still a form of dynamic registration which might have some drawbacks. In a nutshell…
