Amendments
Amendments changes the behavior and appearance of many existing vanilla blocks, such as cauldrons, lanterns, jukeboxes and cakes, without adding new blocks.
What it does
Most changes apply to vanilla blocks. Cauldrons can store any liquid and mix potions and dyes, and a cauldron holding water or a potion can boil when a heat source sits below it. Lanterns can hang on walls with pendulum physics, and any lantern type works. Jukeboxes show the disc they are playing and spin it, and any disc works. Carpets can sit on slabs and stairs, cakes stack, and skulls can stack and hold candles.
The mod was combined from several earlier mods by the same author, so carpeted stairs, better lilypads, better jukeboxes and some Supplementaries features are included and do not need separate installs. Many options can be adjusted in the config. Amendments requires Moonlight Lib, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Builds cover 1.20 – 1.21.1 for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, under a custom license that is not open source.

Cauldron mixing and boiling
Cauldrons store any liquid, mix potions and dyes, and inflict boiling damage when heated.

Any lantern can be hung on a wall and held in hand with a new three-dimensional animation.
Disc display on jukeboxes
A jukebox shows the disc it plays, with a new model that spins during playback.
Stackable cakes and skulls
Two cakes can be placed on each other, and skulls stack in any combination with candles on top.
Lilypad-style waterlogging
Blocks can be placed on lilypads, which occupy the block below and revert when the block is removed.

Use cases
Decorated survival bases
Players use wall lanterns, carpets on stairs and candle skulls to finish interiors with the blocks they already have.
