Moog's Glow Up
by FinnDog_123
With Moog's Glow Up, glow ink sacs gain a set of smithing-table uses that make armor trims glow, pulse or carry light.
What it does
Moog's Glow Up expands Glow Ink Sacs with a Glow Trim Template that can be found in ocean loot. Applying glow ink in a smithing table makes any armor trim glow steadily, while an echo shard produces a pulsing trim labeled Resonant on hover. Each armor piece takes one of these two styles, and it can be re-smithed from one style into the other. The author built the changes around vanilla-style behavior, so the additions follow the feel of existing items.
Glow ink can also be applied to flags when a compatible companion mod is present. The mod exposes options for turning individual features on or off, adjusting light levels and changing loot chances in its config file. Fabric API is required on every loader that uses Fabric. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 20 release versions, 1.20 – 26.3, under All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source.
Key features
Glowing armor trims
Glow ink applied in a smithing table makes any armor trim glow with a steady light.
Pulsing resonant trims
An echo shard in the same recipe turns the trim into a pulsing effect rather than a steady glow.
Re-smithing between trims
A glowing piece can be re-smithed into the pulsing style, and back again, while keeping the armor.
Glowing flags
When a compatible companion mod is present, glow ink can be applied to a flag to make it light up.

What the author says
Moog's Glow Up is a small overhaul of Glow Ink Sacs. I thought glow ink was pretty cool but didn't have enough uses, so I added a bunch of vanilla-feeling features that make it more fun to play around with.
