MiscPeripherals
MiscPeripherals is a Forge add-on for ComputerCraft that gives turtles and computers new peripheral blocks and turtle upgrades.
What it does
The mod adds peripherals that a ComputerCraft computer can control with Lua calls. Several wrap blocks from other mods: Railcraft rails expose set and get methods, Portal Gun aerial faith plates and portal spawners have their own functions, and Thermal Expansion tesseracts report frequency, type, owner and mode. Each peripheral is listed in the compendium the mod supplies, so its methods can be looked up in game.
Turtle upgrades cover several roles. A feeding module exposes one function that tries to feed animals in a 3x3x3 area centered on the turtle, using the selected slot, and returns true when an animal was fed. A chunk loader module makes a chunk loader turtle, and a mining laser turns a turtle into a laser turtle, with attacks firing the mining laser and digging firing a low-focus laser. Power storage blocks come in standard, advanced, lapotronic and top-tier forms, holding 500 up to 500,000 fuel points, and a turtle parked on one of their dotted sides can be recharged at a rate of one fuel point per tick per turtle. Energy input is handled by IC2, BuildCraft and Thermal Expansion parts.
MiscPeripherals depends on ComputerCraft, which must be installed alongside it. The mod runs on Forge only, with files for 10 release versions 1.3.2 – 1.6.4, and the latest file is 3.4b2 for 1.6.4, published on 2024-04-26 on the beta channel. It is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is not open source.
