GTICompat
by CoBaOwl
GTICompat connects GregTech CE Unofficial machines with the Industrial Craft 2 energy network on Forge 1.12.2, so both can exchange power.
What it does
When the mod is installed, energy from an IC2 source is accepted by GregTech machines and GregTech voltage can be received by IC2 blocks. Tier and voltage rules apply, so an energy source must match the tier of the machine it feeds, and high GregTech voltages can cause explosions in IC2 blocks that cannot take them. Several IC2 mechanisms accept GregTech energy as a result.
Beyond power transfer, the mod adds GregTech-style content for players who want to try the GregTech 5 experience inside a Forge 1.12.2 world. It includes power generation blocks, transformers, single-block generators, a nuclear reactor with reactor chambers, a kinetic generator, and fuel rods modeled on GregTech 5.09, which copy its fission mechanics, double output and extra components. Crop Matron and Steakyreed interact with GregTech fertilizer and rubber, and GregTech universal cell drums work with weedex.
The mod requires GregTech CE Unofficial and Industrial Craft, and it has an optional link to Railcraft, which adds Railcraft trains and an unloader. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Files are published for Forge 1.12.2 as beta builds, the latest being 0.2.4 from 2026-01-08.
Key features
IC2 energy exchange
GregTech machines can take power from IC2 sources, and IC2 blocks can receive GregTech energy.
Voltage-aware transfer
Energy transfer follows IC2 amperage and voltage or GregTech voltage, and explosions can occur when a source exceeds what a block tolerates.
Power generation blocks
Transformers, single-block generators, a kinetic generator and a nuclear reactor with reactor chambers are added.
GregTech 5.09 fuel rods
Fuel rods copy the fission mechanics of GregTech 5.09, including double output and additional components.

How it compares
Material Replication is client and server, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and targets 1.12.2 on Forge, so it covers a different set of materials rather than IC2 energy transfer. NuclearCraft is also client and server and open source under the MIT License for 1.12.2 on Forge, and it offers its own reactor and power system. GTBeesMatrix is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, client and server, for Forge 1.12.2, and focuses on bee breeding with GregTech materials.
