SecurityCraft

by Geforce132

SecurityCraft adds blocks and items for guarding a base, including keycard readers, security cameras, sentries and a trophy system that destroys incoming projectiles.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.6.4 – 26.3

What it does

The block change detector watches a set range around it for altered blocks and keeps a record of each one, noting where it happened, who was nearby, when it occurred and what the block became. Keycard readers accept a defined set of keycards and emit a redstone signal only when the correct card is inserted. Security cameras can be viewed from anywhere in the world, which allows owners to check on a location or keep watch on a rival.

Other pieces cover deception and defense. Projectors place fake blocks into the world, and fake lava and water look like the real liquids but behave differently. Rift stabilizers block teleport attempts with chorus fruit or ender pearls near a base, and sentries fire on approaching mobs. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, and it is open source under the MIT License. Client and server both need it, so every player on a server running it must install it as well. Builds cover 1.6.4 – 26.3, with the latest Forge file for 1.20.1 and the latest NeoForge file for 26.3 on the beta channel.

Key features

  1. Block change detection

Records altered blocks inside a set range, with a note of the place, nearby player, moment and new state.

  2. Keycard access control

Keycard readers only send a redstone signal when a previously defined keycard is inserted.

  3. Fake liquids and projectors

Projectors place fake blocks, and fake lava and water look real but act differently.

  4. Remote security cameras

Cameras can be viewed from anywhere in the world to watch a base or other locations.

  5. Defensive turrets and traps

Sentries shoot approaching mobs, and the trophy system uses lasers to explode incoming projectiles.
