Minemoticon
Minemoticon brings Unicode emoji into Minecraft 1.7.10 chat, rendering them from a font bundled with the mod and offering an autocomplete picker.
What it does
Players type emoji as Unicode characters and see them drawn in chat and in in-game GUIs. The mod loads TrueType and OpenType font files, falls back to other fonts for characters it lacks, and uses Twemoji artwork as its default emoji font. Emoji metadata comes from the iamcal/emoji-data project, and a picker offers autocomplete while typing.
The FreeType library is bundled, so the font rendering does not depend on the system. Server owners can distribute custom packs with animated emoji and sync them to players, so every client on the server shows the same set. Installation runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.7.10. Fentlib, GTNH Lib and UniMixins are required dependencies, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Unicode emoji rendering
Emoji typed as Unicode characters are displayed as images in chat and in work GUIs.
Emoji picker autocomplete
A picker suggests emoji names while the player types, so the right character can be chosen without memorizing codes.
Custom font loading
TTF and OTF font files can be loaded, with fallback fonts for characters the main font does not cover.
Server emoji sync
Custom packs and animated custom emoji can be shared from a server, so players receive the same emoji set on join.

How it compares
Unicode Fix is a Forge mod for 1.7.10 – 1.12.2, client-side only, and open source under the MIT License. It handles Unicode text rather than emoji images. Chat Emoji is a client and server mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge 1.20.1 – 26.3, licensed as All rights reserved and not open source, so it is not available for 1.7.10 at all.
