Minecraft TotK

by bleepbloop

TotK adds Zelda-inspired abilities, tools and shrine puzzles to Minecraft, with the Right Arm and Ultrahand mechanics recreated for Forge 1.20.1.

What it does

Players equip a Right Arm in the offhand slot and receive abilities through corresponding Ability Orbs, then activate them with a right click. Ultrahand is part of this set: holding shift and right-clicking picks up a block or a mob that is pointed at, and a second right click places it back down, dropping small mobs where the cursor points. Once the upward ability is obtained, a player can ascend the block directly above. The Sheikah Slate, bombs, a Zelda-style blade and the Hylian Shield appear among the tools and armor, along with a regional equipment set.

The mod is built mainly for survival play, with most items obtainable through crafting recipes. Shrines, Korok puzzles and dungeons are included, and the author notes the mod is tested in multiplayer, with large servers recommended though smaller ones work. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Geckolib is required, and Better Falling and Just Enough Items (JEI) are optional. The code is released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source. The mod is published for Forge only, for 1.20.1.

Key features

  1. Right Arm abilities

An offhand Right Arm gives abilities that are activated with a right click once the matching Ability Orb is obtained.

  2. Ultrahand block and mob handling

Shift and right-click lifts a pointed block or small mob, which can be moved and set down again elsewhere.

  3. Zelda-style tools and armor

The mod adds tools, armor sets and blocks that echo items from the Zelda series, including a blade and a shield in that style.

  4. Shrines and Korok puzzles

Shrines, Korok puzzles and dungeons give players challenges to solve across the world, including light blessing and heart container rewards.

  5. Reset commands for fixes

Soft and hard reset commands repair small bugs, and a reset can restore health to 10 or reset the pouch slots gained through Hestu's pouch.

What the author says

This mod is not multipayer tested. I would not recommend using it on large servers, though small ones should be fine. This mod recreates lots of TotK/BotW features in Minecraft.
