MaidsConstruct
by TartaricAcid
Touhou Little Maid helpers gain a smeltery task through MaidsConstruct, which lets them run Tinkers' Construct smelteries and foundries.
What it does
Maids assigned the smeltery task feed ore into Tinkers' Construct smelteries and foundries on their own. A search of nearby smelteries and foundries runs breadth-first, and the located positions are cached so the search does not repeat. Ore insertion draws from an item tag, maidsconstruct:smeltery, that can be extended or trimmed with datapacks. Items outside that tag are skipped.
Once ore has melted, the mod opens the faucets to pour the fluid into casting tables and basins, and later collects the finished items after they cool. Before any ore goes in, the mod checks alloy recipes so it does not create a new alloy by accident, and fluids are sorted so the largest volume sits at the bottom and is poured first. A smeltery whose fuel is completely used up receives no more ore, which keeps items from getting stuck. Fuel is refilled from fluid containers in the maid's inventory.
MaidsConstruct is built for Forge and works on Minecraft 1.20.1, and it needs both Tinkers' Construct and Touhou Little Maid to run. The server and every player need the mod installed. The code is under the BSD 3-Clause License and is open source. Behavior can be configured per maid through the maid GUI, and the mod supports Touhou Little Maid's debug system, where a debug stick shows the maid's smeltery work.

Breadth-first search finds smelteries and foundries close to the maid, with positions cached for later use.
Automatic fluid pouring
Melted fluid is poured into casting tables and basins, and finished items are collected after cooling.
Configurable item allowlist
The maidsconstruct:smeltery item tag controls which items maids insert, and datapacks can add or remove entries.
