Magnet Command
by ArnoKeesmand
Magnet Command is a Fabric server mod that pulls dropped items toward a player within a short range, so the inventory does not have to be cleared by hand.
What it does
When the magnet is switched on, item entities within three blocks are drawn toward the player, and the pull works without any item held in the inventory. Blocks broken while the magnet is active send their drops straight into the inventory, and items that do not fit are dropped on the ground as usual. The feature is off by default, and the range and behavior can be changed through the mod's config file.
The mod is a server-side only addition, so players join without installing it and clients need nothing extra. It requires Fabric API, and LuckPerms is an optional dependency for controlling who may use the command. Files are published for Fabric across 28 release versions, 1.18.2 – 26.3, under the MIT License, and the source code is open source.
Key features
Item pull command
A command toggles a magnet that draws nearby item entities within three blocks toward the player.
Direct inventory drops
Blocks broken with the magnet active put their drops straight into the inventory when there is room.
Off by default
The magnet starts disabled, so a player turns it on deliberately instead of picking up items unexpectedly.
Configurable behavior
Range and related settings can be changed in the config file, and server owners control how the mod behaves.

Use cases
Long mining sessions
Players clearing a quarry or a vein of ore can keep working without stopping to collect every drop.
Survival servers
Server owners who want less inventory clutter can enable the magnet for their players on a Fabric server.
Who it’s for: Server owners and survival players on Fabric who want a command-driven item magnet without installing it on every client.
How it compares
SimpleMagnets is a Fabric mod for 1.16.5 – 1.17.1, open source under the MIT License, that runs on client and server, so both sides need it. Magnet Enchant is a Fabric mod for 26.1.2 under the MIT License that is not open source and also needs client and server. Magnet Command, by contrast, is server-side only and covers 1.18.2 – 26.3.
