LoTAS
LoTAS is a utility collection for Tool-Assisted Speedruns, bundling a tickrate changer, quick save and load, and manipulation tools for drops, dragon phases, spawns and mob pathfinding.
What it does
LoTAS gathers tools used in Tool-Assisted Speedruns, with a strong focus on random number generation manipulation. Its tickrate changer slows or speeds the game, and its backup feature saves and restores the world quickly, which lets a run be repeated from a fixed point. Drop manipulation makes mobs drop higher-value items, and dragon manipulation controls the phases of the Ender Dragon fight.
Spawn manipulation places entities at chosen locations, and AI manipulation lets entities pathfind to a specific place. An item duplication feature replicates the vanilla duping bug without closing the game. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Fabric and Forge across 26 release versions, 1.7.10 – 1.20.1, and the code is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes LoTAS open source.
Key features
Tickrate changer
Slows the game down or speeds it up, so a run can be timed frame by frame.
Quick save and load
Creates world backups that can be restored quickly, returning the game to a saved state.
Drop and dragon manipulation
Forces mobs to drop higher-value items and sets the phases the Ender Dragon goes through.
Spawn and AI manipulation
Spawns entities at certain locations and makes them pathfind to a certain place.
Item duplication
Replicates the vanilla item duplication bug without needing to close the game first.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Speedrunners and TAS creators who need controlled game state, and server owners studying how the game's randomness behaves. The mod is not aimed at ordinary survival play.
How it compares
ReplayMod is client-side only, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and published for Fabric and Forge across 1.8 – 26.2, so it records and replays footage rather than manipulating game state. Simple input Viewer is a Fabric mod for 1.20.5 – 1.21.5, under the MIT License, and it is not open source; the client needs it and the server can leave it out. No Lag TickRateChanger is Fabric-only for 1.17 – 1.17.1 and open source under the Apache License 2.0, with a tickrate changer that runs on client and server, so it covers only one part of LoTAS.
