TASmod
TASmod gives players tool-assisted speedrunning controls for Minecraft 1.12.2, with input playback, savestates and tick control.
What it does
Tool-assisted speedrunning tools for Minecraft are the core of TASmod. It includes input playback, so a recorded run can be replayed frame by frame. Pressing F8 switches the tickrate between zero and other values, and while the tickrate is zero, F9 steps the game forward by a single tick. Pausing works on both the client and the server side.
J writes a savestate into the saves folder under .minecraft/saves/savestates, and K loads one back. Recordings and their savestates are stored under .minecraft/saves/tasfiles/savestates. Savestates keep working during both recording and playback, and F10 aborts a playback that is running. F6 opens a HUD customization screen, where the position of elements can be changed by dragging with the left mouse button and a background can be added with the right button.
TASmod runs on both Forge and Legacy Fabric, with the latest builds for 1.12.2: Alpha-9 for Forge (2023-05-02) and Beta2.1 for Legacy Fabric (2026-02-06). It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code and issue tracker are public. The mod is open source.

Use cases
Speedrun practice
Runners can record a route, reload savestates at checkpoints and step through tricky sections one tick at a time.
Replay analysis
A recorded run can be played back and aborted at any point with F10 to compare attempts.
Who it’s for: The mod suits speedrunners and players who study routes in Minecraft 1.12.2. Because the environment is client and server, servers that allow tool-assisted runs need the mod installed as well.
