Recording and replaying Minecraft sessions is the job of ReplayMod, a Fabric and Forge utility for capturing a game and playing it back later.

What it does

Recordings are saved as replay files in a compact format, and the author states that an average recording of over an hour stays under 10 megabytes. A file can be passed to another player directly, so no upload service is involved. The mod includes a built-in video creator that renders clips from camera paths without external software.

ReplayMod is published for Fabric and Forge across 48 release versions, 1.8 – 26.2, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source. Required by 12 other mods, including Replay FPS and Instant Replay Mod. It runs client-side only, so a server does not need it installed.
