Igrium's Replay Exporter
by Igrium
With Igrium's Replay Exporter, a Minecraft replay file can be turned into a scene for Blender, the open source 3D software, through a companion addon.
What it does
The mod exports a recorded ReplayMod replay to a .replay file. Opening the replay editor, a user adds at least two camera keyframes and sets the start and end points of the animation. The export screen then writes the file, where bounds can be tightened, the depth raised or lowered, and block updates and entities excluded from the region to reduce overhead.
The exported file is imported into Blender with the provided addon, using File, Import, Minecraft Replay File. The import dialog offers World and Entities options, and each can be disabled when only one of them is needed. Blender may appear to hang for a few minutes during import, since the Minecraft world contents are large, and the console shows progress while it works. The mod is built for experienced Blender users and exports only the Minecraft scene itself. It runs on the client only, so servers need nothing installed. Replay Mod is a required dependency. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
