Litematica Wand

by TheVoidBlock

With Litematica Wand, a Fabric player gets a wand item that drives Litematica's tool features from the hotbar, without digging through the creative menu.

FabricClient required, server optionalGNU General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.20.4 – 26.3

What it does

The wand is a client side item that stands in for Litematica's own tool, so it can be picked up through the creative menu, the Operator Utilities tab or a search, once the Operator Items tab is enabled in the options. It replaces minecraft:stick with litematicawand:wand as the recipe output where that setting applies. Litematica's config can be reached from the Mod Menu entry for Litematica or from the wand's own menu.

Installation needs Fabric API and Litematica, and it is published for Fabric only, across 17 release versions, 1.20.4 – 26.3. Only the client needs it, so a server can leave it out. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source, with public links to the source and issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Client side wand item

A dummy wand item lets players use Litematica's tool from the hotbar, where it reads as a regular item in the inventory.

  2. Creative and search access

The item appears in the Operator Utilities creative tab and can be found through a search, once the Operator Items tab is enabled in the options.

  3. Ghost wand handling

The ghost wand is removed after the player interacts with it, so it does not stay behind in the inventory.

Questions

Does Litematica Wand need Litematica installed?

Yes. Litematica is a required dependency, and Fabric API is required too, so both must be installed next to the wand.

Does the server need Litematica Wand?

No. Only the client needs it, so the server can run without it and players still use the wand from their own client.

What the author says

Access the item in the "Operator Utilities" creative tab. Enable this tab in Options ➜ Controls ➜ Operator Items Tab to receive a ghost wand that will disappear upon interacting with. This is useful if you're playing in survival or on a server.
