[Let's Do] Farm & Charm

by satisfyu

With Farm & Charm installed, crops grow on improved farmland, cooking pots prepare farmhouse dishes, and a meat grinder processes logs and food.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverCustom license1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod widens farming with improved farmland, fertilized soil and a fertilizer that can be applied several times. Utility blocks for fields and animals, including sprinklers, scarecrows and troughs, sit alongside new grain and fruit crops that add steps to crop progression. Carts move items and harvests around a farm without carrying them by hand.

Cooking centers on pots that prepare tea and rustic meals, and the results can feed players as well as tamed animals. A set of decorative blocks suits both farms and kitchens. The mod requires Architectury API and Cloth Config API on every loader, and it is released under a custom license that is not open source. Files exist for 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with the latest Fabric and NeoForge builds at 1.1.28 for 1.21.1.

Key features

  1. Improved farmland

Farmland and soil can be upgraded, and fertilizer accepts several applications on the same plot.

  2. Farm utility blocks

Sprinklers, scarecrows and troughs are placeable blocks for keeping fields and animals in order.

  3. Grains and fruits

New grain and fruit crops add steps to crop progression beyond the vanilla options.

  4. Meat grinder and carts

A meat grinder strips logs and processes food items, while carts carry items and harvests across the farm.

  5. Cooking pots and tea

Cooking pots prepare farmhouse-style dishes and tea, and the results can feed players and tamed animals.

Use cases

Running a working farm

Players build fields with sprinklers, scarecrows and troughs, then move harvests with carts to storage or to a kitchen.

Farmhouse kitchens

Rustic decorative blocks and cooking pots let players furnish a kitchen that matches the cooked food it produces.

Who it’s for: Players who want agriculture and cooking to be part of survival play, and server owners who want farm content that clients and the server share.

How it compares

Full comparison

Farmhouse Decorations focuses on decoration and is not open source; it runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.14.4 – 26.3 and a client and server environment. Nether Agriculture is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and targets 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge, so it covers a different area of farming. Nears is open source under the Apache License 2.0 and supports Fabric and Quilt for 1.18.2 – 1.21.11.
