With Nears installed, the Nether gains fruits and crops that grow on hanging ceilings, in soul sand valleys and on basalt, all harvestable into food.
What it does
Nears adds fruit and crop plants to the Nether. Near Hangs grow on hanging ceilings in crimson forests, and harvested stems can be crafted into crimson planks. Faar Growths hang from warped fungi, and once grown they become bundles of faars that can be broken and used to negate fall damage.
Soul Berries grow in soul sand valleys and are harvested the way sweet berries are. Cinder Grass is found in basalt deltas, and breaking it yields cinder seeds that can be planted on the side of basalt. Magma blocks grow cinder grain, which can be crafted into cinder sangak, a flatbread.
The mod runs on Fabric and Quilt and needs Fabric API. Nears is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and its source code and issue tracker are public. Latest files cover 1.18.2 – 1.21.11, with 2.1.5 for 1.21.11 on Fabric and 1.19.3-1.2.3 for 1.19.3 on Quilt. The Nears Polymer Patch depends on it.
