[Let's Do] Meadow

by satisfyu

Meadow, a Let's Do mod, adds two sub-biomes to the meadow biome and introduces cheese making with presses, fondue and a range of new milk-based foods.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverCustom license1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod overhauls the meadow biome with two new sub-biomes and a set of animals, including several cow types. Players tend a herd, milk the cows and press the milk into cheese, and the cheese can be aged into several types. A watering can speeds up crop growth, and a felting needle turns wool into new wool. Meadow requires Architectury API and Cloth Config API on every loader.

Meadow is one of the older mods in the Let's Do collection and gives players a quiet biome to retreat to, along with the cheese-making chain. Its dependencies are Architectury API and Cloth Config API, so both must be present on the client and the server. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across three game versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, under a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

  1. Two new sub-biomes

Two sub-biomes extend the meadow, adding terrain and animals to a biome that was previously plain.

  2. Cheese making

Milk is pressed in a cheese press, and the resulting cheeses come in several types for eating or trade.

  3. Fondue

A fondue block lets players dip bread in cheese, giving a use for the dairy items.

  4. Watering can and woodcutter

A watering can speeds up crop growth, and a woodcutter works in the same way as the vanilla stonecutter.

  5. Felting needle

A felting needle converts wool into new wool types for building and decoration.

What the author says

Meadow adds a variety of things all based on life in the Alps with plenty of quality of life. You tend the herd, milk the cows, and press the cheese. It's all you. Cheese is the only pressing matter. Enjoy life on the meadow.
