KubeJS Entity Events Extension
by Snownee
KubeJS Entity Events Extension, a Fabric addon for KubeJS, adds entity events that KubeJS does not expose on its own, so server scripts can react to them.
What it does
Scripts can now hook into events that were missing from KubeJS: an entity moving to a different world, a player moving to a different world, and the entity directly responsible for killing another entity. The extension also checks elytra flight, covering both the normal flight and custom elytras that a server allows. Each event's exact definition is documented in the source repository.
The extension needs KubeJS to run, since it only adds events to the scripting layer KubeJS provides. It runs on the server alone, so players need nothing extra to join. Builds target Minecraft 1.19.2 on Fabric alone. The latest file is 1.1.1, published on 2023-07-20, and the code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, making the project open source.
Development history starts with the first public file on 2023-02-16, and the latest update came on 2023-07-20. The source code and an issue tracker are publicly available for anyone who wants to read or report problems.
Key features
Entity moved to another world
A script receives an event when an entity changes dimension, so it can react to travel between worlds.
Player moved to another world
A separate event fires when a player changes dimension, distinct from the one used for ordinary entities.
Killer entity event
An event identifies the entity directly responsible for killing another entity, useful for custom kill rewards.
Elytra flight checks
Flight is verified for standard elytras and for custom elytras that the server allows, through script-accessible events.

How it compares
Toggle Elytra is a Fabric client mod for 1.18 – 1.19.2 that players need, with the server optional, under the MIT License; it is open source. Fabric NMTQ is a server-side Fabric mod for 1.17.1 – 1.18.2 under the MIT License and open source, so a server on 1.19.2 cannot use it. MoreJS: KubeJS Addon is a client and server addon covering Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.18.2 – 1.21.1 under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, also open source, which makes it a choice for multiloader packs.
