Klleyy's Hearts

by Loddyy21

Klleyy's Hearts gives each player three hearts, and a player who loses them all is banned from the server.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCreative Commons Attribution 4.01.20.1 – 1.21.8

What it does

Every player starts with three hearts. Combat mode is triggered when one player attacks another outside their own vanilla team, and during a 30 second combat phase a player who dies loses a heart. A player who leaves the game during the combat phase and dies also loses a heart. Once a player has lost all hearts, the ban applies.

Combat mode can also start from explosives: a player who ignites TNT directly, or through redstone, TNT minecarts, can trigger it, while a player who dies from TNT they ignited themselves keeps their heart. The author describes the mod as inspired by a German Minecraft project called Minecraft Helden, and aimed mainly at multiplayer PvP survival servers.

The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 and 1.21.8, with files also listed for 1.21.1 and 1.21.4. Both the server and every player need it, since the environment is client and server. It is released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Three hearts per player

Each player begins with three hearts, which act as the lives used for banning.

  2. Ban on losing all hearts

Once a player has lost every heart, the player is banned.

  3. Combat phase

An attack on another player starts a 30 second combat phase, during which a death costs a heart.

  4. Explosive triggers

Igniting TNT directly, or through redstone or TNT minecarts, can start combat mode, and self-ignited deaths cost nothing.
