Eat everything
by JohnSeagull
Eat everything lets players consume almost any block or item in the game, and a configuration file controls which non-food items count as edible.
What it does
Players can eat nearly any block or item, with exceptions such as bows and tridents. Consuming takes time, applies a saturation modifier, and some foods are always edible, so the hunger bar can be filled from unusual sources. Eating rotten flesh or starving is no longer the only fallback, because the mod adds another way to stay fed. The Eat Everything configuration changes the default properties of non-food items through a GUI opened from the client.
The mod requires Fabric API. Eat everything runs on the server, and clients can optionally install it to open the configuration screen. Server owners who prefer a GUI over editing JSON files can use the in-game option, but operators need the mod installed to change settings. Builds cover 26.1 – 26.3, with 1.4+26.3 as the latest file, and the code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Edible blocks and items
Nearly every block and item can be eaten, so food is no longer limited to vanilla items.
Consume time and saturation
Eating takes time, and a saturation modifier sets how much hunger each item restores.
Configurable exceptions
Non-food items such as bows and tridents keep their normal behavior unless the configuration changes them.
GUI configuration
Settings can be changed through a graphical screen on the client rather than by editing JSON directly.

Use cases
Survival alternatives to starvation
Players who run low on food can eat items they would otherwise have no use for, instead of relying on rotten flesh alone.
Server-controlled rules
Server owners can decide which items are edible and how much they restore, and operators change settings through the server.
Who it’s for: Survival players who want more food options, and server owners who want to control which items are edible without editing files by hand.
