Ecologics
Adds coconut trees, prickly pears, sandcastles and penguin-related items to the vanilla beach, desert, snowy and tropical biomes of Minecraft.
What it does
Ecologics changes existing vanilla biomes rather than adding new ones. Coconut trees grow in beaches, where fully grown coconuts can drop onto nearby players. Seashells appear along the shore and are used to craft sandcastles, which can be placed over turtle eggs to shield them from mobs while the eggs keep hatching. Prickly pears grow on fully grown cacti, and eating one raw causes minor damage unless it is cooked first.
New ruin structures spawn in deserts. Baby penguins drop feathers when they mature, and those feathers brew a Potion of Sliding that makes the player slide on every block as if it were ice. Snow Bricks and Ice Bricks add building material for cold builds, and a tropical music disc is hidden in buried treasure. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.18.1 – 26.3 across 14 release versions. The mod is not open source; it is covered by a custom license, and its author asks that no backport be made without explicit permission.
