Jewelcraft

by Jusey1

Jewelcraft adds rings, amulets and other jewelry that players craft from gems and metals, with enchantment-like passive effects that stack by slot.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

Jewelcraft adds jewelry to the game, and the pieces are equipped through the Curios API, so every ring and amulet sits in its own curio slot. Each piece is built from a gem and a metal the player picks. Metal options cover the warm and cool tones of the set, and the choice changes what the finished item does. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for Forge only.

Nine gem variations are available. Seven come from vanilla materials: amethyst, emerald, diamond, lapis lazuli, redstone, quartz and obsidian onyx, with two bonus gems added to the set. Each gem adds its own passive benefit, such as reach, step height, luck or fortune. Rings and amulets can not be stacked with each other in the same way, so the choice of pieces matters.

Files run on client and server, so both the server and every player need the mod. Builds exist for 1.19.2, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, and the latest Forge file is 1.7.0 for 1.20.1, published on 2024-08-19. Curios API must be installed alongside the mod.

Key features

  1. Jewelry in curio slots

Rings and amulets are equipped through Curios, so they follow the curio slot order used by other mods.

  2. Gem and metal crafting

Each piece combines a chosen gem with a chosen metal, so the same gem can produce different results.

  3. Passive gem benefits

Gems grant effects such as reach, step height, movement speed, luck and looting, with a bonus for each gem type.

  4. Metal-specific effects

Certain metals add armor toughness, knockback resistance or a piglin neutrality effect to the finished piece.

Use cases

Story and map builds

Jewelry can be customized so a pack or adventure map uses its own gem and metal combinations.

Who it’s for: Players who want equipment with passive effects, and map makers who want jewelry that fits a story. Server owners can use it in multiplayer, since the mod runs on both sides.
