Items Limiter

by DEAMJAVA

On a server, an administrator can decide the total number of copies of a given item that may exist across every player, and set a ceiling on enchantment levels, all from a config file.

FabricServer-side onlyGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source26.2

What it does

Limits are set per item and per enchantment. An administrator can allow only one Mace on a server, five Elytras across the entire world, or ban Totems of Undying by setting their limit to zero. Enchantment caps work the same way: Protection can be held to level III, Sharpness to level IV, and Mending can be disabled completely by setting its maximum level to zero.

The mod is written for Fabric and runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. Once the rules are in place, the mod enforces them automatically, and settings can be changed without restarting the server. Server owners running survival multiplayer, player-versus-player arenas, hardcore saves or modpacks with a managed item economy can use it to keep those rules fixed. Installation requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin. The project is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Server-wide item caps

Each item can be given a maximum number of copies that may exist across the whole server.

  2. Enchantment level limits

Any enchantment can be capped at a chosen level, or disabled entirely with a maximum of zero.

  3. Automatic enforcement

Limits are applied by the mod without manual checks, so the rules hold as items are crafted and found.

  4. Live configuration

Rules can be adjusted while the server is running, without a restart.
