Interactic Updated

by UltimateGamerMC

Interactic Updated changes how dropped items behave on the ground, adding item physics, charged throwing, right-click pickup and crosshair tooltips for Fabric.

FabricClient or server, optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11 – 26.3

What it does

Dropped items tumble as they fall, settle flat on the ground and lie more naturally on blocks. Holding the drop key winds up a throw that carries an item farther, and thrown swords, axes and tools can deal damage when they hit. Shift with Q quick-drops a stack the way vanilla does. Right-click pickup and an item filter let a player choose exactly which items are collected automatically.

Looking at an item shows its name and full tooltip at the crosshair, so players do not have to pick it up to read it. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is built on Fabric API, which is required. Mod Menu is optional and only adds a settings screen. Files cover 1.21.11, 26.1.1 and 26.3, and the latest Fabric file is 0.3.0+26.3 for 26.3, published 2026-10-08.

Key features

  1. Item physics

Dropped items fall, tumble and come to rest flat on the ground, including on ground blocks.

  2. Charged item throwing

Holding the drop key builds a throw, so items fly farther the longer the key is held.

  3. Thrown weapons

Swords, axes and tools thrown as projectiles deal damage when they hit a target.

  4. Item filter

A filter sets exactly which items are picked up automatically, instead of taking everything.

Use cases

Tidying up after mining

Items scatter and settle naturally, and the filter keeps unwanted drops on the ground.

Throwing items across a base

Charged throws move stacks to a distant chest without walking back and forth.

Who it’s for: Players who want dropped items to look and behave more like physical objects, and server owners who want the visual features without requiring a server install.
