Hookshot, by Cammie, is a Fabric and Quilt equipment mod that adds a grappling tool for crossing gaps and reaching high ground.
What it does
The tool fires a hook up to a default range of 24 blocks and reels the player toward the point it lands on. Modifiers change how it behaves: one lets the hook glide through water, another teleports the player to the target instead of pulling them, a third speeds up the reeling by 50%, and a fourth doubles the range. An automatic modifier releases the hook on its own once it has finished reeling.
Cardinal Components API, Fabric API, Resourceful Config and Sparkweave Engine are all required, so each must be installed alongside Hookshot on Fabric or Quilt. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files cover 1.16.4 – 1.20.1 across eight release versions, and the latest file, 2.1.1+Fabric for 1.20.1, was published on 2025-02-04. The mod is released under a custom license and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.
